Today, Apple pushed out final iOS 5.0.1 to the public after two beta versions for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1, 2, iPod Touch 3G and 4G. The update brings multi-tasking gestures to the first gen iPad, fixes battery drain issue and many other bugs found in iOS 5.0.
If you are currently on iOS 5, you can simply update your device to iOS 5.0.1 by going to Settings >> General >> Software Update. Alternatively, you can also update by connecting your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with your computer, run the latest version of iTunes and it will pop-up a message saying that an update for your device is available. Gmail App has been officially launched for ios users. Surely, it’s a big joy for all who uses iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Here is more on this story.
So, what does this official Gmail app brings to your iOS device that the native Mail app doesn’t already have? Well, here are a few features you may have been after for a while; it seems Google has put a lot of their web based experience into this app, and I am very excited, as their web mail experience is about as crisp as it gets. I hope they haven’t released another buggy app like the Google+ app was, I certainly don’t want to update my new Gmail app within hours of its release. (more…)
