In the starting nine months, the website had 10,000 users. Due to the launch of an iPhone app in early March 2011, the number of users increased. Times magazine listed Pinterest in 50 best websites of 2011 in its August issue. The investment valuation of this network is about $1 billion to $1.5 billion.
To signup on Pinterest, you either need to request for it from the site or other users can send you pinterest invite. The users of this network can easily save, sort, upload and manage photos known as pins. Pinboard is a term used in this website for collections which are generally themed and makes it easier for users to identify their approachable pin.
