The much hyped talk last year came to an end after the official announcement of iPhone 5 release date by Apple and that the new model is iPhone 4S. We heard so much rumors on iPhone 5 in 2011 like iPhone 5 release date is affected by battery supply issues and that the iPhone 5 may gets a CDMA/GSM dual mode or that the iPhone 5 will be available on Sprint with unlimited data packages etc. Now that all eyes and ears are focused on the next version of iPhone (probably iPhone 6) – rumors have started around the official release date of iPhone 6.

What users expect before the iPhone 5 release date is the thinner iPhone with improved features like battery life, storage capacity, signal strength and video chat. Users and developer are now more concerned beforehand on the latest iOS and iCloud since last year all of these information kept secret even on the inauguration day of iPhone 4s.

Last year in early May, Apple purchased glass cutting devices specifically meant for reshaping curved glass and since then rumors started appearing on web that the iPhone 5 and new version of iPad 3 might have curved displays or use hi-tech IGZO display. iPod touch 5g rumors

iPod fanboys and users are anxiously waiting for the release of iPod touch 5g after much of the speculations and rumors that circled around 5^th generation iPod touch last year – and seems like 2012 will remain haunted by this news. Although we haven’t heard any official reports or rumors (from reasonable sources) but everyone is waiting for the release of iPod 5 this year along with other announcements from apple such as iPhone 5, iPad 3 and other smart phones.

iPod users were anticipated by the idea when apple staged an event “Let’s talk iPhone event” that was meant to show off other products by apple like upgrade to the iPod touch (apple did not mentioned iPod touch 5g). Various reports also suggest that apple is not going to announce iPod touch 5^th generation release date as clearly they want more sales out of 4g to clear inventory. Similarly, no serious rumors have circulated around iPod touch 5^th generation as we also observed that apple has a distinct way of launching their new product into the market – so we can speculate that iPod touch 5g and iPhone 5 may come along.

Similar guess also hover over the idea that after the release of iPhone 4s apple is more concerned about sales of it and want it to be covered to as many carriers as possible before they announce anything about iPod touch 5g. One can make an idea considering apple previous designs of Phone and iPod touch just like they stick to the iPhone 4 design. Similarly Apple doesn’t want their own competition in market in the form of iPod touch 5^th generation when they expect more out of the bucket. And if it is to be released in 2012 users expect its price slightly slower since the iPod touch 4 is around $225.

4-inch iPhone and 7-inch iPad Rumor

The latest iPhone and iPad flurries continue to hang on to idea that the iPhone will get a larger 4-inch screen and the iPad will get a sibling with a smaller 7-inch screen. With Tim Cook sitting on the throne, anything is possible.

Last month, everybody was anticipating an iPhone 5 with a larger 4-inch display, but what we got was an iPhone 4S with the same 3.5-inch Retina Display as the old iPhone 4. It’s rumored that Steve Jobs canned the iPhone 5 at the last second.

Well, the rumors must continue on, because there’s talk that Apple is in conversation with LG Display to roll out a larger iPhone and a smaller iPad. The resolutions on both displays will no doubt have to be consistent to the current iPhones and iPads in order to keep iOS from fragmenting itself. (more…)
