It seems like iOS 5.01 update did not help much in solving iPhone 4S battery issue. Although more than 40% said that iOS update fix their battery problem but for some the situation is even worse. Apple who is seriously concerned about the issue, release the iOS update iOS 5.01, but they are working hard to give a proper solution to the iPhone users.

Some analyst reported different views on this iOS update.
Michael Gartenberg said, “I’m not seeing an issue myself, except there are more features I use on a regular basis which do affect battery life. As with all devices, what features you use extensively will affect battery life.” (more…)
Apple’s iOS 5.0.2 update is expected to finally fix the battery issues surrounding their new handset the iPhone 4S, which Apple is said to be working on, double-time, to deliver. Sadly, the Cupertino firm experienced a bump along the road, which threatens to delay the update from rolling out as scheduled.

The cause of the delay was due to memory issues. Apple developers would like to get these issues fixed before rolling out the battery fix. It seems the company would like to get everything done, instead of rolling out a follow-up update for a different issue.
Other issues of the iOS 5 involve Wi-Fi issues surrounding the iPad, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, and iPhone 4S have been discovered recently. We’re hoping the iOS 5.0.2 update addresses these issues as well. (more…)

iOS 5.02 release date
German site Macerkopf reports that Apple is working on iOS 5.0.2 to fix the bugs that is affecting iPhone battery life and iOS 5.1 to add more revolutionary voice assisted personal assisted feature.

iOS 5.0.2 coming very soon, solving the battery bugs. Should arrive before the end of next week. Apple is working hard on the update. In addition Apple ist working on the first big iOS 5 Update (iOS 5.1), bringing some siri-extensions. Also the Siri hardware-control is in work “take a picture”, “make a video”, “switch on/off WiFi”, “switch on/off BT” and more.
According to Macerkopf, Apple may release iOS 5.0.2 ”no later than next week” to address the remaining bugs that is affecting iPhone’s battery life. Apple had released iOS 5.0.1 approximately two weeks back to fix issues with battery life after upgrading to iOS 5. Today, Apple pushed out final iOS 5.0.1 to the public after two beta versions for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 1, 2, iPod Touch 3G and 4G. The update brings multi-tasking gestures to the first gen iPad, fixes battery drain issue and many other bugs found in iOS 5.0.
If you are currently on iOS 5, you can simply update your device to iOS 5.0.1 by going to Settings >> General >> Software Update. Alternatively, you can also update by connecting your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with your computer, run the latest version of iTunes and it will pop-up a message saying that an update for your device is available.
