iPhone 5 Release Date
The much hyped talk last year came to an end after the official announcement of iPhone 5 release date by Apple and that the new model is iPhone 4S. We heard so much rumors on iPhone 5 in 2011 like iPhone 5 release date is affected by battery supply issues and that the iPhone 5 may gets a CDMA/GSM dual mode or that the iPhone 5 will be available on Sprint with unlimited data packages etc. Now that all eyes and ears are focused on the next version of iPhone (probably iPhone 6) – rumors have started around the official release date of iPhone 6.
What users expect before the iPhone 5 release date is the thinner iPhone with improved features like battery life, storage capacity, signal strength and video chat. Users and developer are now more concerned beforehand on the latest iOS and iCloud since last year all of these information kept secret even on the inauguration day of iPhone 4s.
Last year in early May, Apple purchased glass cutting devices specifically meant for reshaping curved glass and since then rumors started appearing on web that the iPhone 5 and new version of iPad 3 might have curved displays or use hi-tech IGZO display. Sony and Hitachi who are engaged in making 4 inch screens for iPhone 5, sent prototypes of iPhone 5 to Apple headquarters.
The latest reports hint that the iPhone 5 release date will be in March 2012 or in summer. Whether the new iPhone have LTE 4G capabilities, hi-tech IGZO displays, thinner body etc – for now it could all just be rumors before we officially hear the iPhone 5 release date.
Latest Predictions on iPhone 5 Release Date (Update April 10, 2012)
Since much of the news circulating on the web are based on mere speculations — such as news with a pinch of salt getting the attraction of iPhone fanboys. The possible release date as expected in june 2012 is getting too much hype after a leak from the Foxconn’s growing Taiyuan Plant, which may or not be true as there was no officials involved in that particular report.
Similarly, there is also some uncertainty whether the new iPhone is going to be called iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 (6th generation iPhone). We expect that the iPhone 5 possible release date won’t come to the surface in the 2nd quarter and most probably it will be released on Christmas 2012.
