What Drains Your Smartphone Battery?

Over the past few years, the use of Smartphone has become a very popular trend. There was a time when people used to shy away from Smartphones. I can say that because I used to too and now, I proudly own a Smartphone. Back then Smartphones used to drive people away because of their high prices or the technical complications that most of us felt were undesired and today, Smartphones repel people for the sole reason of their battery life issues. Along with many functional features of a Smartphone, its one big flaw is its low battery life.

Sitting in an office in the middle of a day or trying to survive a boring lecture at school, killing time at a clinic or waiting for a friend at a café, you want to take a picture of that gorgeous dress or have an urgent call to make and your smartphone pops a message ‘Battery Low’. You can literally feel life shooting out of you. At that moment and many others this question must have crossed your mind, what drains your Smartphone battery?

One of the primary reasons behind our Smartphone battery drainage is the number of applications we use. It is one of the many incredible uses of a Smartphone that it offers access to a wide range of applications. However, what most of us are unaware of is that these applications especially the free ones consume a lot of energy and what we are left with is a ‘Battery Low’ message popping out of our Smartphones.

Multitasking also causes the battery of a Smartphone to drain. The more number of applications are running, the higher the energy is consumed and the sooner the battery gets drained. Hence, it is always suggested as a power saving tip to monitor the running applications via Task Manager and closing the applications that are not being used.

The use of Internet, be it Wi-Fi or Mobile Internet, is another one of the Smartphone battery life killers. WLAN and GPRS/EDGE consume more power and for as long as we use it, the battery gets sucked at a very rapid pace. To minimize this cause, what we can do is that whenever we are not using internet, we make sure that it is not connected. Other than that, Wi-Fi consumes comparatively lesser amount of battery as compared to Mobile Internet, so if you have a choice always connect via WLAN. (more…)

What’s new in the world of apps?

There are many hundreds of new apps released each week. Among these there are more than a handful that are simply dreadful. Most of them are made to cash in on a recently released movie or to introduce a function or a feature that has either been done better previously or one that has not yet even become a standard. There are also a number of these developers that have spent their time crafting an easy and accessible product that exists already but can be improved upon.

Many game designers take this approach when trying to discover the next Angry Birds. We all remember how many clone versions of that game were released just after the popularity of Angry Birds became big news.

Then there are the few companies who are trying to make something new. Something entertaining, exciting, informative or even something innovative and desirable that could make life easier. And in the end isn’t that what everyone’s really after?

It really doesn’t matter what it is that you are looking for there is more than likely going to be an app to suit your taste and your needs. Whether you’re looking for love or just somewhere to eat you can be sure you’ll get the type of app you’re looking for. The few sites recently updated their app, which allows you to browse their database as though you were looking on their site. It has been specially designed to allow you as much functionality as possible on a handheld device whilst being easy to use and fast to find. It’s perfect for those of you who have a few minutes to spare while you’re waiting for a taxi or just on your lunch break.

Apps, like the contract phones that runs them, are getting better and better as each year goes on. This it seems is just the beginning.

After the launch of original Wii in 2006 followed by Xbox kinect, Wii failed to produce more third party games which were traditionally present in the gaming market and for the first time in 30 years, Nintendo posed its first ever financial loss. Features and specs

Wii U is a 6.2 inch touch screen gaming pad with the shell of a wireless dual analogue stick controller which you can also mount with your TV screens to enhance the pleasure. The best thing about it is that it eases the gaming portability with extraordinary graphics and you can even connect the external controller to enhance the gaming experience.  Likewise, built in gyroscopes and accelerometers also act as analogue control input, allowing the gamer to physically move the device to adjust their aims and orientations on the screen. It’s much lighter than it looks, WiiU’s weight is round about that of an iPad.

Nintendo president MR Satoru Iwata said during the question answer session that his ideology behind this gaming pad is that up till now all the gaming consoles used tv sets at home, however Wii U will be the first gaming console free from TV sets in which you can enjoy your gaming while someone else is watching TV or you yourself can watch TV while having an amazing gaming experience. He further added that they will launch new games which will only be compatible with this new gaming console to bless their gamers with unique experience.

Miiverse is the new innovation by Nintendo for their new console where the gamers can share their gaming experiences, discuss games and discover new content and best thing is that all of it is done online without any additional charges. The gamers can also get to know about the most played games of the month and what games are their friends currently playing. They can even ask questions about a difficult level of the games and explore new elements of their favorite games. Moreover gamers can even challenge their friends to play with them online.

We appreciate the Nintendo’s new innovation and this makes us feel that this time Nintendo will surely delight their customers with their new Wii U gaming pad.
